My writing

I've been a writer ever since I was a little girl. Fortunately, it's a love that I've gotten to continue pursuing as an adult. Stories are important to me, and I love being able to tell the stories in my heart just as much as I love hearing other people's stories.

A writer I really respect once said that she writes so that people know they are not alone. That idea rings true for me, because that's one of the reasons I write. It's so easy to feel isolated and alone in this world, even with all the technological connections people have. Within my books are moments where I hope readers will be able to say, "yes! Me too!" Just as important, my hope for readers is that they will walk away from my books feeling a sense of hope. I very much believe in happy endings. I won't read a book or watch a movie that has a sad or bittersweet ending, nor will I tell a story that doesn't bring hope or redemption in the end. We live in a broken world where a lot of bad stuff happens. Bad stuff has happened to me, and I'm pretty sure it's happened to you. Yet in the midst of all this bad stuff, I believe there is hope. I believe things can better, and I believe that every single one of us deserves to have a happy ending. Unfortunately, I don't have a magic wand to make the happy ending come true for people, but I do have a pen and the ability to write happy endings for my characters, with the fervent wish that all of my readers find their own version of hope for their futures. There is nothing so bad in life that God can't use it for good, and I cling to the hope that in the end, good wins.

If those are the kind of stories you like, then take a look... dive in and open one of my books!
